I appreciate your company/plumber coming at the last minute on a Saturday. Randy assessed and solved the back up problem in my shower. He also gave recommendations on how to prevent the back up in my shower in the future. Great overall service.

Was able to get this plumber to the house on short notice on a Saturday to fix a drain backup. I was not home, but someone else was and they let the plumber in. Unfortunately, we cannot trust this company anymore. 2 issues I have with the process: 1.) On the day they completed the work I was led to believe that the issue was temporarily solved. John told me over the phone that the tech was done clearing the pipe and they recommended a "patch" service. I was not told that the pipe was only snaked and that the roots were still in the pipe which would cause another backup a few days later. As the plumbing expert, it is your responsibility to inform the client that more work is needed to remove the roots from the pipe. Saying that you recommend a "patch" is not descriptive enough. 2.) After I asked how much the "patch" would be, the person who was home overheard John's conversation with the tech. It sounded like the tech told John it would be $3,400 to patch. John replied that he would tell the customer it was more so they could make some money. The tech told John he was on speaker phone and that we heard all of it. John said "oh shit" and hung up. On a follow up call, John told me that they never ran a camera and that it was my responsibility to ask for that. He also then told me that the remaining roots would be "hydro jetted" (fully removed from the pipe) as part of the "patch". He never mentioned "hydro jetting" on the first call. I don't like to leave negative reviews. If you look at the rest of mine, you'll see that they're almost all 4 or 5 star reviews. The way northwest drain handled this situation is not acceptable. I only realized what happened after a new plumber snaked the drain again and showed me the camera feed(which he offered on his own and included with the snake service). The new plumber explained to me that more work was required to fully remove the roots. This is something I would expect John to tell me since he has been "doing this a long time".

I only got an estimate but the price was very high compared to competitors. It made me feel like I was being taken advantage of. Everyone I talked to was very polite and they did come out to give me the estimate in a reasonable amount of time.

I’ve used these guys to take care of problems at both my daughter’s house and mine. They are prompt, courteous, professional, and charge a fair price. What more could anyone ask for?

We had an emergency drainage issue at the worst possible time (day before we were having 15 guests over). They came out that afternoon and fixed it - in the freezing cold! We are so grateful! Thank you!!
